FUN FACTS FROM AN INTERVIEW WITH LIZ
Favorite Movie? Good Will Hunting is one of my favorites.
If you were stranded on an island – what’s the one thing you’d want with you? I would bring a book titled, "How to survive alone on an Island."
Person you most want to have dinner with? My family, more than twice a week.
Favorite story you’ve covered? Stories that open up my eyes and heart the most are ones surrounding children and family. I can recall the story of a little girl under the age of 10, who played a huge role in taking care of her little brother with severe brain damage after surviving SIDS as a baby. The amount of love and compassion she had for her brother I will never forget. Or the story about a single mother of three battling terminal breast cancer. She was a fighter – but cancer took her life not too long ago. I will never forget sitting and talking with her and her three school-age children. As a mother, that story was very hard for me to cover, but one I felt honored to do, and one I will never forget. I believe a true journalist is one who takes time to get to know the people their interview… it’s really what I love most about my job.
Interesting talent you posses? I sing, just ask my co-workers.
Place you’d most like to visit? Ireland, to learn more about Irish heritage.
