October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Breast cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer death among American women. About 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. But caught early, studies show we can win the fight against this disease. That's why NBC25 is teamed up with McLaren to offer you and your loved ones a free breast cancer screening.

This year's screening took place at the McLaren Cancer Institute on Beecher Road from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17th. We appreciate everyone that helped support this year's event. It was a huge success and we look forward to seeing all of you in 2013!
