Holy Spirit Lutheran Church Excited to Announce An Additional Free Food Distribution in October.
HSLC to serve as a distribution point for the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, again offering free food to thousands of area residents, Saturday, October 27, 2012.
Grand Blanc, MI – October 22, 2012: In its sixth season of providing food to the area’s needy families and individuals, Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Grand Blanc, in cooperation with the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, is excited to announce that it has added an additional date for Free Food Distribution this Saturday, October 27th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30am. Thousands of pounds of food, including staple canned and boxed goods, as well as a limited number of fresh and frozen items will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis. No proof of income or need is required, but recipients must present a driver’s license or other form of photo ID. Last year, Holy Spirit distributed over 12,000 lbs. of food to needy individuals and families. In the words of Pastor Will Stenke: “Holy Spirit is glad to provide the assistance to those who are in need.” Stenke went on to say, “The church sees these food distributions as a natural consequence of our mission to share God’s love.” Holy Spirit Lutheran Church is located at 7234 Fenton Rd. in Grand Blanc, Michigan. It's on the west side of Fenton Rd., approximately 1/4 mile north of Grand Blanc Rd.
