FLINT -- Ground will be broken on Wednesday on 2 new office buildings at GM's Flint Engine South Operations.

The complex is located at Van Slyke and Bristol Roads. GM spokesman Tom Wickham says the company is investing several million dollars at the Flint Engine complex to replace temporary offices that were installed when the engine plant was built more than a decade ago.

This investment comes after GM completed an investment of several hundred million dollars in the facility to produce engines for GM's small cars, including the Volt.

Plant Manager Terri Burden, UAW officials and representatives from Granger Construction are expected to attend Wednesday's ceremony.
