Garibella Salon is now open. The Salon sits on the ground floor of the Wade Trim Building, across from the Capital Theater. Carl and Tami Harchick funded Garibella right out their own pockets. They saved thousands on start-up costs by stumbling upon brand new salon equipment at a garage sale. The Harchicks are a third generation Generals Motors family. Carl still works at the Flint Truck and Bus Plant. The guys on the line just love the fact that he's now a "salon guy." Carl and Tami's family business ties to Downtown Flint stretch all the way back to the 1940s. In fact, Tami's great aunt and uncle owned the old Kampe Bar in Buckham Alley." Garibella's currently employs five stylists with plans to add seven more. The Harchicks say they're in it for the long haul.
