FLINT -- There was music Saturday evening in Genesee County to support the family of a man who is detained in Iran.

Amir Hekmati was captured in Iran last August accused of being a spy.

His family says Amir was in Iran visiting family.

Saturday's concert was a way to support Amir's parents.

"Folks from this side are working to secure Amir's freedom so he can come home where he belongs," says Matthew Packer, MOTT Choir director.

Amir remains incarcerated in Iran.

His family lives in Flint Township.
