The Candlewalk Committee in Flushing is busy giving back to the community.

The group collected canned food for the 25 Day Food Drive, sponsored by NBC25. The food will be donated to Catholic Charities which runs 3 soup kitchens in Flint.

Meanwhile, the committee is also preparing for the annual Flushing Candlewalk to be held Thursday and Friday from 6-8p.m. More than 3,000 candles are expected to light up the streets of downtown Flushing.

"Two evenings of wagon rides, holiday singers, choirs,  ice sculptures, refreshments, and hayrides are the business owners way of saying “thank-you” to the community," adds the chamber of commerce.
