BAY CITY -- A Bay City mother who got attention for holding up a sign earlier this year along a street asking passing drivers to get tested as a possible kidney donor for her ten-year-old daughter says a match has been found.  The identity of the donor has not been disclosed.

Stacey Schwerin says a hospital told her a kidney is available for Jessica, who was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure.

The transplant likely will take place in January.

"What words in the human language can you say to someone who is saving your 10-year-olds life? I can say "thank You" until I am purple but it's not enough thanks for saving my baby," mother Stacy Scherwin said.

Jessica says she's "excited but scared" and hopes the donor will be okay after surgery.
