Grab your fishing pole; it's fishing time in Flushing

FLUSHING -- Walleye love to spawn in March in the Flint River between Flushing and Montrose, so it's a great time for fishing there. To bring in people who love to fish and their families, the Flushing Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual Walleye Festival this Friday through Sunday.

The Flint River inspires this annual celebration featuring a fishing contest, fish fry, pancake breakfast, games, outdoor exhibits and chili cook-off.

For more information, contact the Flushing Area Chamber of Commerce at (810) 659-4141.
