BRIDGEPORT TOWNSHIP -- Crews responded to a housefire earlier this morning on Bell Road near Birch Run.
Officials told NBC25 the owner of the home was outside waiting for fire crews to arrive.
He called 911 after his kitchen caught fire, but he's not sure how it started. The gas meter appeared to fuel the flames.
It's been determined about 50 percent of the home has been destroyed.
At last report earlier this morning, parts of Bell Road were blocked, so drivers in that area will have to take another route.
No injuries were reported.
