LAPEER COUNTY -- The Lapeer County Sheriff's Department is looking for a man who assaulted his ex-girlfriend's current boyfriend, leaving him on life support at an area hospital.
Police told NBC25 that 24-year-old Jesse Carey cut down a tree on Marlette Road near Maple Grove Road to lure his ex-girlfriend nd the victim out of their car before attacking and fleeing.
Authorities have not been able to locate Carey, who they say may be in the Marlette or Mayville area.
