UPDATE: Police found a low explosive type instrument (possibly a firework) in the park. The park will be reopened to the public.
The Saginaw County Sheriff's Office tells NBC25 News that something went off in the park this afternoon. Wickes Park is located at McCarty Road and Hospital Road in Saginaw Township.
