MIDLAND -- The Midland County Mosquito Control says the West Nile Virus has turned up in a crow.

The bird was collected in Midland on Monday.

Thus far, it's the only case of the virus in the region and no human cases have been reported.

Officials remind residents to keep an eye out for dead birds and to report them to the county.

The area where the crow was found has been fogged and more mosquito testing is slated for tonight.

Meanwhile Saginaw County is doing their part to cut down on mosquito breeding grounds by holding old tire drives.

Mosquito control is doing their final drive of the summer through the end of this week.

The current rain is also brinigng lots of mosquitos to the area.  A final tire drive will be held on Friday at the Thomas Township Public Safety Building in Shields.
