What better place for Holly's candle store, than right here in Holly?  It's dedicated to her mother's memory, and to the cause of curing cancer.  The candles look like regular wax being melted down, but actually they are made of soy.

A data entry program from Mid-Michigan serves 40 states and Canada   

Data entered produces detailed diagrams, and spits out an instant estimate. Since 2001 the company has sold to 200 lumber yards in Michigan alone is in 40 states and Canada. All of those clients have access to support at the Flushing office.

Brian and Lindsay Coonan have day jobs, but at night they are often here, at their new business "Lindsay Truffler" in Bay City.  "Truffles" are a gnosh (meaning chocolate and cream emulcified) covered in chocolate.  Lindsay purs the gnosh into hand pained molds.

Raw Way organic food business booming in Flint   

It's a business the Bethany Herr-Hatfield started less than two years ago, when she needed to change her diet thanks to breastfeeding sensitivities her baby daughter was having.  She got an unexpected bonus from the change.  "I was at 2400, 2500 calories and I was losing a bunch of weight," she told us.
