DETROIT (AP) -- The Associated Press reports a Navy SEAL from Detroit has been killed in battle.
34-year-old Heath Robinson was one of 30 American military personnell killed by insurgents in the Wardak Province of Afghanistan. The attackers shot down the United States Chinook helicopter Saturday. None of the American aboard the helicopter survived.
This is reportedly the deadliest single loss for the United States in the nearly 10 years that America has been involved in the Afghan war.
