SANDUSKY -- A Marlette man was convicted of three counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct, three counts of second degree criminal sexual conduct, second degree criminal conduct, kidnapping, and child abuse in the second degree.

All convections carry with them a potential life sentence except for the second degree criminal conduct which is a 15-year-feloney.

Evidence was presented that Earl Northrup, Jr. had duct taped, gagged, threatened, and committed sexual acts on a relative that is a minor, aged somewhere between 13 and 16.

The trial was held before Circuit Court Judge Donald A. Teeple and sentencing has been scheduled for April 8, 2013 at 8:30 AM in the Sanilac County Circuit Court in Sandusky, Michigan.
