SAGINAW BAY -- The Michigan Department of Natural Resources says don't even think about ice fishing on Saginaw Bay
Active pressure cracks are making ice fishing dangerous. Deep snow has covered up some of the pressure cracks and the weak spots, so, anglers may not know they're in a dangerous spot until it's too late.
Several machines have gone through the ice and several people have been rescued as well.
