BAY CITY -- A dozen majestic ships will sail into port on the Saginaw River this July during Bay City's tall ships celebration.

The ships will be led by historic vessels like the Pride of Baltimore Two, The Pathfinder, and The Peacemaker.

Also there will be The Madeline, which is a replica of the nineteenth century Greal Lakes schooner and an official tall ship of Michigan.

Shirley Roberts, Event Coordinator told us that, "even if you are not a sailing aficionado you will appreciate how beautiful the ships are, the history behind them. They all have their own special stories."

Another ship on display is the Appledore Four, which hails from the Great Lakes Bay Region.

Tickets for the event are $8 and go on sale April 1.
