Tuesday, August 21, 2012  The STS Foundation is looking for host families in Genesee County willing to house foreign exchange students set to fly in for the 2012-2013 school year.

Thursday, August 02, 2012  Some Genesee County schools are under the microscope to close wide achievement gaps after the state released revamped report cards Thursday.  The new ranking system rewards the top-performing schools in the state, while it warns the bottom 5 percent based on student achievement. It puts schools in one of three categories.  In Genesee County, 7 schools are designated Reward schools, 10 as Priority school and 7 as Focus schools.

Wednesday, November 23, 2011  Authorities believe 32-year-old Adam White of Burton made the terrorist threats that sent several schools into lockdown mode so that he could create a distraction in order to rob a bank.
