Monday, February 11, 2013  The coast guard says great lakes ice is dangerous and unpredictable because of the wind howling out of the west. Starting around 3 am local fire department crews responded here, rescuing four people from the ice. A few hours later the coast guard was called in for with reports of four wheelers and people drifting away.

Sunday, February 10, 2013  Michigan residents are enjoying winter activities after Friday’s snowfall but temperatures aren't quite cold enough for everything. The coast guard in Bay City is working to remind Michiganders to use caution when out on the ice. Friday evening a two snow mobiles fell through the ice on the Saginaw Bay.
