Monday, May 13, 2013  The Saginaw City Council approved changes to retiree health care benefits in an effort to reign in legacy costs.  Under the changes, retired city employees will have to pay higher deductibles and co-pays.

Monday, May 06, 2013  Saginaw City Manager Darnell Earley presented his budget for the 2014 fiscal year to the mayor and council Monday.  It calls for a 55-officer police department and a 35-person fire department.

Wednesday, December 05, 2012  Saginaw Assistant City Manager Phil Ludos is asking the county to consider taking over police operations in light of a $3.2 million budget shortfall for the 2013-2014 fiscal year. Ludos says without a deal, he would be forced resort to layoffs, and the city would have to operate with 55 police officers and 35 firefighters.
