A single vehicle accident killed 18-year-old Brandon Walker of St. Charles Saturday morning around 11:40 a.m. Walker, who is a Swan Valley High School graduate, was heading west on Townline Rd. in Saginaw County's Brant Township when he left the road and hit a tree. Investigators say he was unresponsive when they arrived on the scene.

A southwestern Michigan couple whose teenage daughter died in a house fire while chained to her bed have been acquitted of murder charges but convicted of torture and child abuse.
