Gov. Snyder orders special election to fill open Genesee County seat

LANSING (AP) -- Governor Rick Snyder has ordered a special election for May 7th to fill an open Michigan Senate seat in Genesee County.

The 38-member Republican-led Senate is missing a member because former Democratic Senator John Gleason resigned halfway through his term.
