DETROIT (AP) -- DTE Energy says the number of customers without power because of weather has fallen to about 25,000.

By late morning Monday, Wayne and Oakland counties still had outages affecting 10,000. The rest mostly were in Livingston, Tuscola and Huron counties. The cause was weekend wind as fast as 60 mph. DTE says 90 percent of customers who lost power should have electricity by evening.

The utility says crews have been working 16-hour shifts.

Consumers Energy was down to 1,100 weather-related outages early Monday, led by customers in Ottawa, Calhoun, Muskegon and Allegan counties in western Michigan.
