Group to study sports complex for Saginaw

SAGINAW -- Is a world-class sports complex in the future for Saginaw? A community group has commssioned a study to find out.
According to a news release, New E.R.A. Community Group has hired Maryland-based Ripken Design to conduct a feasibility study on a new sports complex. No funding sources have been identified.
The design team will visit the city on Monday and Tuesday to look over possible sites, demographics and where they could get the money to pay for it. The project manager of Riken Design touts new jobs and boasts of a big economic impact if its built.
But a lot of questions remain.
The public is invited to meet the people who are conducting the study, on Tuesday morning at 7:45 at the Dawn of a new Day Coffee Shop on Washington Avenue.
