My life was touched by cancer, when my first wife Mary Frances died of the disease back in 1989. Perhaps cancer has touched your life.
An event that celebrates cancer survivors and remembers those who's lives have been lost will be held in Holly in August. The 9th annual Reunion with a Cause raises money for the Genesys Health Foundation. 100% of the money raised goes back into the community to help local Genesys cancer patients with their financial burden.
A nurse at Genesys, Dawn Brooks, knows all about cancer. She's a cancer survivor. She says work at Genesys actually helped her get through it. Now she's helping to prepare for the event.
