Military dog statue unveiled at veterans memorial

Man's best friend is joining a group of bronze statues at Swartz Creek's cherished veterans memorial downtown. The Swartz Creek Area Veterans Memorial Committee unveiled a sixth and final statue of a military dog during a special dedication ceremony on Friday. The statue was modeled after Ike, the K-9 officer with the Swartz Creek police department.
