The search continues today for a Madison Heights woman, who is believed to be missing off the Port Crescent State Park Day Use Beach in Hume Township.

Catherine Nativite Hoskinson, 48, has not been heard from since 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Her 2008 Pontiac Grand Am was parked in a lot near the park and her personal items were found on the beach Sunday by someone walking along the beachfront.

Clothing, car keys, a Michigan driver's license and cell phone were found on the eastern edge of the swimming area. Hurton County Sheriff's Deputies contacted Hoskinson's family with numbers from her phone.

Hoskinson's belongings suggested they were there since Sunday because they were soaked from the morning rain and there were no footprints near them.

Hoskinson's family said that she has had some recent personal issues and has been depressed.

The United States Coast Guard assisted in Monday's search using a helicopter and a boat along with a Huron County Sheriff patrol boat. Port Crescent State Park personnel assisted on foot. The search was suspended at dark and resumed today.

Anyone who might have been at the day use park on Sunday afternoon and can recall seeing a lone white female, 5-foot-7 in height, approximately 145 pounds, with blonde hair and green eyes, is asked to call (989) 269-6421.
