Saginaw City Council appointed a new mayor and mayor pro-tem Monday night.
Greg Branch will serve as mayor and Amos O'Neal as mayor pro-tem.
Branch is a lifelong Saginaw resident who has served on city council since 2005.
O'Neal has a long record of service in the city and co-founded "Parishioners on Patrol ".
The city charter calls for council to appoint these positions on the first Monday after its election.
