Thousands of toys flew into Mid-Michigan today but they weren't on Santa's sleigh.

Several airplanes packed with Christmas presents landed at Bishop International Airport in Flint as part of Operation Good Cheer. The gifts will end up in the hands of kids in foster care.

One pilot tells NBC25 News that giving back brings back memories. \

"I had this done for me when I was a little kid and it's my turn to give back," says Bob Komjathy.

Planes made deliveries to other parts of Michigan on Saturday as well.
