Mount Morris Township Firefighters are investigating what caused a Christmas Eve house fire that left a family homeless.

It happened at  a home on Tremont Ave just off Detroit Street.   A family with three little kids lost all their belongings and the family dog.

“I’ve got 3 kids and a baby on the way in a month,” said fire victim Nicole Watson.  “I need to get another house, and I guess… start all over.”

Her two sons are 3 and 5-years-old.  Her daughter is about a year old.

Neighbors and relatives of firefighters bought gifts so the children had something to open Christmas morning.

The family is still in need of warm clothes, personal, and household items. Relatives of firefighters are collecting donations.   If you would like to help, call Michele Wheeler at 810-814-8309.
