A Detroit area man's quest to become a rocket man lands him in the hospital. The man tried to boost his sled sunday at a party near Detroit.
The Wayne County Sheriff's says he filled a muffler with gasoline and gunpowder, strapped it to his back, and had someone light it. It exploded as he headed downhill.
The 62 year-old suffered second degree burns to his face and the right side of his body, and may have eye damage.
