66% of Flushing residents vote to recall the township supervisor Donald Schwieman.
The recall language sited Schwieman's drunken driving charge; it also said he misappropriated $44,000.00 of the township's funds.
"It’s troubling for our community and our reputation of our township, we have a good township, and I try to tell people were all Americans’ but it's a problem that needed to be taken care of, hopefully today we'll get that done," said Resident David Scheidemantel.
Schweiman, however, said the township board of trustees* approved the $44,000.00 payment.
He also said he has apologized to the community for his driving impaired incident.
