LANSING (AP) -- Michigan school teachers rally outside the state capitol for more money.
The Michigan Education Association, the state's largest teachers union, wants tax increases or the elimination of some tax exemptions to boost education funding.
The union has been criticized by some law-makers for opposing changes to school retirement programs aimed at saving money.
The MEA is suing to try to stop having to pay 3% of their salaries to retiree health funds starting July 1st.
