ALMA (AP) -- A central Michigan doctor has been charged with possessing child pornography.
Dr. Craig Tubbs appeared in federal court Thursday and was released on bond. He cannot be around children unless a parent is present.
The 45-year-old Tubbs lives in St. Louis in Gratiot County and his medical practice is in Alma.
A federal agent says Tubbs was traced through an e-mail address after authorities got a tip last year from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Authorities say in a court filing that Tubbs admitted to having 80 to 100 child porn images stored in e-mail.
His office said Tubbs is on leave. Alma Family Practice Dr. C.J. Holmes says Tubbs has provided "excellent professional care" without a complaint or "hint of impropriety."
