FLINT -- Michigan State Police releasing a sketch of Flint's serial killer.
The drawing will bring authorities one step closer to finding the suspect.
Law enforcement says the suspect is a white man, but they aren't ready to call the attacks racially motivated.
Officials don't know whether the suspect is targeting black men, or if that's simply who he comes across while walking late at night.
Friday, NBC25 talked with some Flint residents who say they're keeping an eye on their surroundings.
"I've never heard of this many people getting stabbed in my life," said Dr. John Skinner Jr., the Owner of Dr. Skinner’s Hairstyling Clinic.
As a barber for the past 50 years, Dr. John Skinner has heard his fair share of stories, but news of a serial stabber in Flint has him troubled.
"You're dealing with a nut here, and he is already too close to the edge," said Skinner.
Friday, Michigan State Police released a sketch of the suspect; he's described as a muscular, white man in his late 20's, and is about six feet tall. Investigators say he has a piercing on the top of his left ear. It's a inch long silver bar.
So far Michigan State Police have received hundreds and hundreds of tips, and now that the sketch has been released, they are expecting hundreds more.
Since May, the suspect has stabbed 13 men, five of them have died. All of the violent crimes have taken place at night.
"I hope it won't happen to me," said Skinner.
Police say the attacks may be racially motivated, they're warning smaller framed, elderly black men to stay away from anyone asking for directions or help with car trouble.
"I don't help anyone anymore, because if you bring out money, you don't know who's waiting around the corner, or who's watching," said Flint Resident, John Harvey.
John Harvey says he's not taking any chances. Because he's a disabled Army vet, he's been carrying a concealed weapon.
"If I am walking around the block, and I see someone, I become very cautious, I usually put my hand in my pocket for a reason," said Harvey.
But conversation about the serial stabber at Dr. Skinners Barbershop has been casual.
These men say they don't walk in fear, and will continue to pay attention to their surroundings.
Saturday, NBC25 will be speaking with a forensic psychiatrist, to see if we can get into the mind of this serial stabber, to try and explain why he's committing these violent crimes.
