FLINT -- Firefighters say they suspect arson in the fire that destroyed two historic buildings in Flint.
Firefighters responded to the Jackson-Hardy House on Garland Street about 10:30 Sunday morning.
The two and a half story house was more than 100 years old.
The owner of the house spent $100,000 in renovations, but firefighters say the wood was so aged the fire quickly spread to the structure next door, the University of Michigan Alternative Energy House.
Hoffman’s Deli also suffered heat damage to the roof.
No one was injured.
