A 15-year-old Reed City girl and her suspected abductor have been found dead by Michigan State Police.
Taylor Eileen Manley and her suspected abductor, Raymond Robert Bush of Newport, were found dead this evening.
State Police received a tip about the case and found the wanted vehicle, a blue Plymouth Voyager, parked in a Newport cemetery.
The Metro Area MSP Emergency Services Team responded to the scene after what the Monroe News callled a standoff at the St. Charles Cemetery. The News said SWAT team members were called to a hostage situation at the cemetery Wednesday evening.
The MSP Crime Lab has been called in to assess the scene.
The Clare County Sheriff's Department, the FBI and multiple State Police posts have helped in the case.
An Amber Alert had been issued for Manley earlier Wednesday. The last contact Manley had with her family was around 12:30 p.m.
According to the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office, Bush was convicted of third-degree criminal sexual conduct after it was discovered that he had a relationship with Manley.
The office said Bush was scheduled to show up to a court-ordered hearing on Wednesday because he was out on bond for the conviction. He did not show up. An arrest warrant has been issued for him.
