CARROLLTON TWP. -- A newly elected trustee who is accused of asking for sexual favors from an under-cover police officer will head to trial in the case.

66 year old Ronald Gnatkowski pleaded guilty Tuesday to a misdemeanor charge of being a disorderly person by engaging in obscene conduct.

The recently elected Carrollton Township trustee allegedly approached an undercover cop at Wickes Park in Saginaw on May 20th, and asked him for sexual favors.

Gnatkowski was originally charged with accosting and soliciting, but the charges were amended when he pleaded Tuesday.

If convicted, Gnatkowski faces 90 days in jail and/or a $500 fine. A sentencing date has not yet been set.
