The search appears to be over for a missing Saginaw woman. Police believe they found her body by the Saginaw River.

A man out walking his dog found the woman near  the intersection of North Niagara and Madison Tuesday morning.  He immediately called  police.

Saginaw Det. Sgt. Joseph Dutoi says the body appears to be 56-year-old Toni Frenzel.

Frenzel went missing from her Saginaw home on New Year’s Day.

Police say an autopsy will be done to determine cause of death.  At this time they do not suspect foul play.

Family members tell NBC25 they are distraught over her death, but grateful she has been found.
