MIDLAND -- Midland-based Wolverine Bank appeared on the NASDAQ Thursday following the sale of more than 2 million common shares in an initial public offering. It’s one of very few Mid-Michigan industries to go public, with Wolverine Bank selling those beginning shares at $10 a piece.
The financial firm has three locations in Midland and one in Frankenmuth. Beginning operation in 1933, it now serves nearly 7,000 customers. Bank officials say the initial public offering can be a big step towards potential expansion plans.
