SAGINAW TOWNSHIP -- Just who could do such a thing? Who could leave seven puppies stranded in the bitter cold? It happened this week in Saginaw. A man found the pups, nicknamed the Seven Dwarfs while he was plowing a parking lot.
The man had the pups for about 24 hours and reached out to a friend who put the message on Facebook. That’s when Animal Alley Veterinary Hospital in Saginaw Township came into the picture, welcoming the Dwarfs in for observation.
“They were a little dehydrated,” said Danielle VanDaele who serves as a caretaker at Animal Alley.
The pups will remain there until interested owners come in, and there have been plenty of inquiries. They would have to fill out and application and be evaluated for their fitness of owning animals.
“We’ll check and make sure that they have taken their dogs to the vet regularly and had heartworm checks that type of thing,” VanDaele said. If you are interested in learning more about the puppies, contact Animal Alley at (989) 792-4800 or visit the facility at 7319 Tittabawassee Road in Saginaw Township.
