Local five and six year olds at the North Saginaw Charter Academy have a warning for those enjoying sweet Valentine's day treats.
North Saginaw Charter Academy invited NBC25 out to interview children for Valentine’s Day.
Kindergarten and 1st graders told us what they love about the holiday.
In most cases it is candy.
“I love that we get chocolate. I’ll eat chocolate five times a day,” said five-year-old Makaya Lowery.
“You get chocolate,” said Brittany Young.
“I love Snickers,” said Marcella Wise.
Not everyone likes getting candy though.
“I think it is kind of bad for your teeth,” said Ethan Royer.
Ethan says he plans to give his mom and dad a Valentine, instead of candy.
“I don’t like getting candy for Valentine’s day because a dentist came to first grade and told us sugar bugs hide in your teeth,” said Brittany Young.
