CARO -- A teen, who was hit by a car and killed, has been laid to rest. Dozens of mourners gathered at the Caro Church of the Nazarene Friday afternoon, to remember the short life of Zachary Harp.
The 16 year old was killed Sunday at a party in Gagetown. Authorities report he got into a fight with 17 year old Cody Kalis. The reports then say Kalis ran Harp over with his car, and dragged him for a block.
Harp was flown by helicopter to Hurley Medical Center in Flint where he died.
His friends and family tell us he always stood up for others, and was well-liked at his school and in the community.
Kalis has been charged in the death. He’s currently out of jail on bond as the investigation continues. Officials believe there are several more witnesses who fled the scene when authorities arrived. They’re asking anyone with information on what happened that night, to come forward immediately.
