Flooding has forced many roads to be closed across Mid-Michigan.

In Genesee County, I-475 is closed, and dozens of side roads are completely under water as rain continues to fall and snow melts.

In the northern areas, flooding warnings are still in effect for the Tittabawassee, Saginaw, Chippewa, and Rifle Rivers.

Please use caution when driving in these areas. NBC25’s Kevin Usealman states that, “even 6 inches of fast moving water is all it takes to knock you off your feet, and 2 feet of water swiftly moving can lift your vehicle.”

If you have pictures of flooding in your area, upload them to the NBC25 Facebook page, and let us know what areas drivers should avoid.
