GRAND BLANC TOWNSHIP -- Update: May 3rd, 4:30 p.m.

Charlie Bell has sent out a tweet in reaction to Sunday's police incident.  Bell, who goes by Flintstone14 on Twitter, said, "“I'm fine. I didn't get stabbed. Lol. #thatisall”.

However, Prosecutor David Leyton has charged Bell's wife, Kenya Bell, with assault with a dangerous weapon, saying the basketball star suffered minor injuries in the attack.

Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton charged former Miss Michigan USA with domestic violence and assault with a dangerous weapon Monday.

Kenya Bell is accused of stabbing her husband, Golden State Warriors guard Charlie Bell early Sunday morning at their home on Lake Ridge Drive in Grand Blanc Township.

“The weapon used was a box cutter,” said Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton.  “It may have put some scratches on the male.”

The couple have two children, ages 7 and 8, who were at the home.

“This would be a traumatic incident for any child to witness.  They are the ones I am worried about in this case,” said Leyton.

Sources tell NBC25 the couple’s home suffered damage during the domestic dispute.  Workers could be seen out side their home repairing windows Monday afternoon.

“I saw the police outside their home around 6:00 a.m. as I left for church,” said one anonymous neighbor.

Charlie Bell is a Flint Southwestern grad, who played for the Spartans when Michigan State won the 2000 National Championship.  The 31-year-old has since had a successful basketball career, playing for several NBA teams.

Kenya Bell was crowned Miss Michigan USA in 2001.

The couple appeared last year in an episode of "Basketball Wives: The E! True Hollywood Story.”

Bell was released from the Genesee County Jail, where she had been lodged for more than 24 hours awaiting arraignment, on $5,000 bond.  Her pre-trial hearing is scheduled for May 6, 2011, at 8:30 a.m.
