The beautiful Dow Gardens is already blooming with color with 25,000 tulips planted throughout the entire garden. It is just gorgeous there!

It was my very first time to the Dow Gardens and I could have spent the entire day there. I can hardly wait to go back and take my daughter Madelyn. She is going to just love running around the garden looking at all the different colors and all the little critters running around.

Craig Mitchell Smith, a self-taught artist from Lansing is painting the Dow Gardens with his glass art. He is scattering 14 different pieces all throughout the gardens. While walking through the gardens, you will just love trying to spot each one of them. In fact, when you arrive, you will be given a map as to where each piece is. You could take the kids and have a "scavenger hunt."

its an exciting show midlands heritage and beauty together -

As of right now, you can go to the gardens and watch as Craig Mitchell Smith installs his sculptures going on now until July 17th, on Sundays at 1:00 p.m.

There is also a pretty exciting festival coming up at Dow Gardens, 2011's Festival of the Senses. It's an outdoor wine/beer tasting event featuring all Michigan based wineries and breweries. And on top of all that great new, there will also be live entertainment featuring Empty Canvas. The event is going to be held Friday, May 20th from 8:00 p.m. To 10:00 p.m. and is $30 per person in advance or $35 at the door. You can get the tickets at Dow Gardens and you can find more details by clicking here.

And ladies, if you want some time away with the girls. Dow Gardens is featuring Yoga in the Gardens. Mid-Michigan Medical Center - Midland and Dow Gardens have partnered up and that begins June 7th from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

There so many different events at the Dow Gardens this summer you should be sure to make it to atleast one, or at the very LEAST, if you have never been, GO! It's gorgeous and a wonderful time for families.
