CHIPPEWA TWP. -- A Chippewa Township will stand trial in his wife's murder.

The Associated Press reports Isabella County trial William Rush has ruled that there is enough evidence for 56-year old Gary Reen to be tried in the death of his wife, Cheryl.

In April, 56-year-old Gary Reen told the Isabella County Sheriff’s Department that he had shot his wife.

Deputies investigated, and found 51-year-old Cheryl Reen's body in a pole barn at their home on the 7100 block of River Road in Chippewa Township.

A forensic pathologist testified she bled to death after being shot twice, according to the AP.

A pretrial date has not yet been set in the homicide case.
