Representative Anthony Weiner is stepping down after controversial, sexual images were sent to several women online.
The 46-year-old Democrat has now admitted to lying about the pictures. Originally, he claimed someone had hacked his account, and sent the photographs of him in his underwear online.
President Barack Obama told the NBC Today Show that he thought Weiner should step down due to the scandal. Many other officials Washington officials agreed.
Thursday, Weiner apologized for the embarrassing photos. MSNBCreports he’s been undergoing treatment since last weekend.
