Carly Lewis was found dead in June. Her parents are now suing the suspect in her murder.
TRAVERSE CITY -- The parents of Carly Lewis are suing the teenager accused in her death.
According to the Associated Press, Todd and Susie Lewis filed a $25,000 wrongful death suit against 17-year-old Robert Jensen Schwander, who has been charged in the girl's death.
16-year-old Lewis went missing on June 2nd. Her body was found later that month at a Public Works Building in the Traverse City area.
Schwander, the son of a sheriff's deputy, allegedly admitted to Lewis' death, but pleaded not guilty in court.
Schwander is being held in the Grand Traverse County Jail.
